The suspension of covid-19 test in the DRC is only for fully vaccinated travelers
The DRC’s Minister of Public Health, Hygiene and Prevention, Jean-Jacques Mbungani, presented during the Council of Ministers of September 30, 2022, the health situation throughout the national territory, in particular the situation of Covid-19 which remains “stable and under control” in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
To this end, the Minister of Health, in view of the continuous decline in contamination statistics, announced the signing of a Ministerial Order which provides: “- The suspension of Covid-19 tests at the entrance to the territory and at leaving the territory until further notice, for fully vaccinated people; – The requirement of a negative Covid-19 test for unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated people leaving the country of origin and/or leaving the DRC; – Unrestricted internal freedom of movement for all fully vaccinated people”.
Obviously, unvaccinated people should continue to pay the covid-19 test fee for both domestic flights at the national level and for international flights.
